2P Canada X Reader Gift

Matt goes to the house almost every day. He no longer trusts the forecast or Olly. Sometimes the house was there sometimes it wasn’t. When it was he would go in and talk to the girl. He would tell her about his home and family. She told him things about herself. Though whenever he asked her name or about friends and family she would change the subject or leave the room to cook. His feelings continued to grow and he began wondering if she feels the same.

His family keeps asking about her but he refuses to tell them anything. She is his and won’t let anyone else have her. One day Al tried to follow him only to get kicked in the balls.

Matt is standing in front of a jewelry store. It’s been almost a month since he first met her and he wants to get her a gift but isn’t sure what.

“May I help you?”

The sudden voice startles him. Seems the saleswoman finally noticed his presence.  He mentally curses. Normally he is can tell when someone comes near him.

“Um, no, I’m good” he says

“What are you looking for?” she asks, ignoring his response

Matt frowns at this. She really wants him to buy something.

“I’m looking for a gift” he answers

“Is it a girl?”

‘Why does everyone ask that?’ he wonders, a little annoyed

“Yes, but she is different than other girls, she has this otherworldly presence”

‘That’s a good enough response that doesn’t give away too much’

She smiles and grabs his arm, pulling him inside. For an older woman she is stronger than she looks. The woman disappears into the back and Matt waits with crossed arms and a look of annoyance.  She comes back holding a black box. She opens it and inside is a beautiful sliver chain necklace with a (gemstone) gem surrounded by silver. Matt raises an eyebrow.

‘It looks really nice, it’s not too fancy or too plain’

“I’ll take it” Matt says plainly

“That’ll be 50 dollars” she says

“20”

“45”

“22”

“40”

“30”

The woman sighs

“34 and we have a deal”

“Deal” Matt says finally

The woman rings it up and matt pays. He snatches the box and runs out the store. He looks up to see the sky getting dark and he runs faster. He is soaked by the time he arrives. He rings out his clothes and checks the box to make sure it’s dry before going in. he is greeted by warmth and the smell of something cooking. He smiles as the smell of maple drifts to his nose and he walks to the kitchen. There he sees her stirring something in a pot and the light of the oven is on, indicating she is baking something.

“What are you making?” he asks going to the oven and looking inside

“Beef stew and in the oven are maple cinnamon muffins” she answers

Matt opens the oven and takes a whiff of the delicious smell. He can feel his mouth watering.

“There are towels in the living room for you to dry off and the food will be ready soon” she informs him

Matt hums in acknowledgment and goes to the living room. He finds a towel draped over the chair by the fire place. He takes is and to his enjoyment it’s warm. He quickly dries himself and puts the towel back on the chair. He takes the necklace out of his pocket, takes a deep breath and goes back into the kitchen. He sees her taking the muffins out of the oven and place them on a tray to cool.

“Uh, excuse me”

She turn and looks at him curiously. Her eyes drift down to the box.

“I got you something” Matt says giving it to her

She takes it with wide eyes and slowly opens it. Upon seeing the necklace her eyes widen more. Matt takes the necklace from the box, goes behind her and puts it around her neck then doing the clasp.

“Do you like it?” he asks walking around and looking at her face

Her eyes are wide, mouth open. She reaches up and touches the gem. Suddenly Matt almost falls over as the house begins shaking. The house, which had been pretty plain before, begins decorating itself. Paintings, flower pots and in the back of the house it is becoming nicer with fancy quilts and clothes appear in the closet. When the shaking stops Matt reorients himself. He looks up to see the girl crying.

“Oh no are you ok?” he asks worried

Matt’s response is the girl throwing herself at him and hugging him.

“I love it, thank you, thank you”

Matt smiles and returns the hug.
