Separate but Together

Antonio sighed as he walked through the door of the small house he shared with his boyfriend Lovino. He takes off his hat and hangs it on a hook and slips out of his shoes. He looks up to see Lovino standing in the doorway.

“What’s with you?” he asks

“We found another boy today, all signs point to the mafia”

“It’s getting frustrating, no matter how hard we try we can’t find them”

He straightens and walks past Lovino.
 

“Where are you going?”

“To bed, you don’t mind eating alone do you?”

“No, if you’re tired you should get your rest”

Lovino watched as Antonio trudged up the stairs. He could hear his bedroom door open and close. He shuffled around before the springs on the bed creaked then silence. Lovino sighed and went to the kitchen to eat. After eating he went up to his room and laid down in bed. He waited a couple hours to make sure Antonio was asleep before quietly getting up. He changed into a black suits with a red ties and placed a fedora on his head. He tiptoes down the stairs and pulls a pair of black shoes out of the back of the closet and slips them on. He walks out the door just as a black car pulls up in front of the house. He darts out and slides into the back.

“Step on it” he orders the driver who nods

~ Somewhere else

“Alright, which one of you idiots was in charge of clean up!?” Lovino yells

In front of him are group of men all dresses in black suits. It is quiet until three men step forward. Their heads are down but fear can be seen in their eyes. Lovino walks over to the three, once in front of them he takes a gun out of his belt and holds it.

“So, tell me, what’s the number one rule in our group?” he asks fingering the barrel of the gun

The three are quiet until the man on the left looks up and speaks.

“Absolute secrecy” he says

"Buono, so what part of letting the cops find the body is secret?” Lovino asks

The three gulp.

“It isn't” the man in the middle says

In a swift motion Lovino shoots him in the leg making the other two flinch. He howls in pain and collapses to the floor clutching the wound.

“Si, keep that in mind for future reference” he says in a low voice

The other two nods frantically.

“Take him away and have his wound treated”

Lovino sighs and turns to a man with spiked blond hair and green eyes with a cigarette in his mouth.

“Besides that blunder the mission went well?” he asks

The man nods

“He fought back but we managed to subdue him” he says the cigarette somehow staying in his mouth

Lovino nods, satisfied.
